The large Rainbow is really versatile: small children stack, sort and build and as the children get older they will use it as a cradle for dolls, as fence for animals, like a tunnel or bridge for vehicles, as house for dwarfs and dollhouse dolls, build amazing sculptures...
This wonderful wooden rainbow is hand crafted. They base the development of their toys on the philosophy of Waldorf Education. Their wooden toys are designed to help children discover and develop their own creativity and sensory awareness with products that want to be touched again and again which communicate their credo: Joy through colour!
These gorgeous toys are made using alder, lime, maple and cherry wood. Wood is natural, regenerative and stimulates the senses. It has texture, sounds different and smells good. Bacteria cannot reproduce on wood. This all is not true for plastic or metal. All dyes used are water based and are non toxic, as is the natural oil used.

Why can the rainbow only be stacked in one direction?
Our organically designed Rainbow is hand-sawn from one single piece of wood which requires a lot of experience to do this work free hand. This leads to an asymmetrical construction, resulting in a more pleasant, natural appeal in comparison to using precise, symmetric stencils. Therefore, individual arcs may need to be rotated to obtain a perfect fit! It is exactly what makes our toy so special and each one unique.
Rainbow stacker has 12 different colors which correspond to Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red. All the colours are bright, child safe. and have a good smell. Each and every piece of the stacker has its own characteristics and beauty. All the colors are?álab tested. This toy strictly follows ASTM and EN71 standards.
